该媒体表示，竞赛委员会将在1月7日召开会议并正式公布对维尼修斯的处罚。虽然尚未正式公布但是一切表明维尼修斯将被禁赛两场联赛，分别是皇马对阵拉斯帕尔马斯以及巴拉多利德的联赛，球员可以出战皇马对阵马洛卡的西超杯比赛。

在比赛报告中对于维尼修斯此次行为的记录为：在非对抗情况下故意击打对手头部，且力量不小。球员被罚下后继续抗议，被俱乐部工作人员带回更衣室。

世界体育报表示，皇马方面也预测维尼修斯将会被禁赛两场。但是无论判罚结果，皇马都会选择提出上诉。
